It appears The Newton County Board of Commissioners have "abandoned" the trash system and the "convenience center facilities, leaving Newton County residents with nowhere to dump trash, and NO alternative plan for the disposal of their trash.

The closing and abandonment of these "convenience center" (dump sites), as announced seems to me , to be a gross mismanagement of assets and facilities paid for , and invested in with Newton County residents’ taxes.

It also seems to me that with "proper management " good planning and utilization these facilities and a revamped system could be a cost effective, much needed and welcome alternative to "closing "and letting these valuable assets sit idle and costing many more dollars.
