Dear Editor: Thank you for including the current national debt in your newspaper and its burden upon individuals. This should be a reminder that our government has demonstrated, without a shadow of a doubt, that it is not a competent manager of taxpayers' hard earned money. Therefore, voting taxpayers should insist that the national government limit its activities to those assigned by the Constitution. Philanthropy is not included and should be opposed consistently (even though various "welfare", "entitlement", etc., programs apparently are effective means of buying votes from selected population groups and therefore attractive to career politicians).
