Dear Editor: I saw the article (Dec. 3) about the Newton High Band (seeking $6,000 to perform during the Sugar Bowl halftime show). They have worked hard to meet their goal to go on this trip.; I would ask the people of Newton County to come forward to help these kids (go) on a trip they will never forget.

To help, Covington Ford will donate $500 toward their trip.
