Zachary Booher

The world lost a rising star July 8, when Zachary Booher, 22, died unexpectedly. Zach was born in 1990 in Mesa, Ariz. He graduated in May from Arizona State University and planned to pursue his passion — music — full time with his band While We’re Up.

Mr. Booher was well known in local music circles and was killed in a car crash while following the Warped Tour cross country.

He is survived by his heartbroken family: parents Scott and Joanna Booher; sister Samantha Booher; grandmothers Maria Kudrzycki, Carol Booher; aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.

We will deeply miss Zach’s pure and passionate heart, his intelligence, sweetness, fun loving personality, loyalty, and love. He accomplished more in his short life than most do in a lifetime. We draw comfort knowing Zach is singing his heart out on heaven’s stage.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow, July 21, at Central Christian Church, 933 N. Lindsay in Mesa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zachary S. Booher memorial fund. Proceeds will benefit a music scholarship established in Zach’s name at ASU.
