Woodburn D. Hudson passed away January 4, 2016, at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia at the age of 73. He was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey to the late Woodburn Sr. and Lurena Hudson. He is preceded in death by his brother and sister in law Richard and Elizabeth Hudson, and grandchildren Chelsea and Noah. Woodburn was a Godly, faithful man and a loving husband whose greatest mission in life was to be an excellent father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a fireman for more than 25 years in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Woodburn had a great sense of humor, and loved to hunt and fish. He was a real family man who spent most of his life leading and serving his family, was very humble and extremely proud to serve his country in US Navy. His favorite Bible verse was Psalms 119 & 127:3-5.

He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie, children and their spouses: Scott (Donna) Hudson, Dennis (Barbara) Hudson, Jill Patten, Kim (Mike) Danya, John (Christie) King, Jennifer (Jamie) Wright, Julie Wiltshire, Jaime (Rusty) Taylor, Joey Graves; 23 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; the mother of his children Marilyn Queen; and extended family. Also his fur kids Abbey and Jack.

Service was held Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with burial at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville on Friday January 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. The family received friends at the funeral home, Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 5 p.m. until service time.
