William Bonner Watson, Jr., age 63, of Covington, died May 10, 2010. He loved driving a tractor, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially watching the squirrels and birds. Mr. Watson was a Vietnam Veteran, having served his country from December of 1965 until September of 1967. He was predeceased by his parents, William Bonner, Sr. and Tillie Thornton Watson. Mr. Watson was a devoted husband, father and especially grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Shirley D. Watson; sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Joy Watson, Brian and Heather Watson, all of Covington; grandchildren, Colin Frazier, Devin Tucker, Peyton Watson, Kylie Watson and Marleigh Watson; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Sonny Kirkpatrick; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services for Mr. Watson will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 13, 2010, at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with Rev. Doug Craver, officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home at 1215 Access Road Wednesday, May 12, from 6 to 8 PM.
