Sister Shirley Walker Brooks was born on June 20, 1954 in Conyers, Georgia to the late Mr. & Mrs. Henry (Emma O’dell) Walker. She was the fifth of nine children.

On June 6, 2014 Shirley fell asleep in death. She was preceded in death by one son, William Lamar Brooks, six siblings, Homar Hamm, Bobby Walker, John Henry Walker, Baby Boy Walker, Richard Walker and Henry Ann Walker. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories, seven children, Mr. & Mrs. Warren (Debra) Morris, Mr. & Mrs. Daron (Charlene) Brooks, Ms. Sonya Walker, Mr. & Mrs. Devan (Maria) Askew, Mr. & Mrs. Randolph (Alicia) Marrast, Mr. & Mrs. Darian (Felicia) White and Ms. Jamekia Brooks, all of Covington, Georgia, brother, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Dan (Jennifer) Walker, Cedar Town, Georgia, sister, Mr. & Mrs. Bob (Maggie) Clark, Covington, Georgia, 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 aunts, Ms. Dorothy Daniels and Ms. Maggie Brooks, both of Conyers, Georgia, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
Service for Sister Brooks will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014, 11 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2914 Fairview Road, Covington.

We wish to thank all of you for your many acts of love and kindness during our time of great pain and sorrow. Your expressions of love have been most comforting to us as we face this loss of our loved one. We thank you and may our God Jehovah bless you for your sincere acts of true love.
