Mr. Ricky Loyd, age 60, of Covington passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at his residence.  He was born May 19, 1952 in Porterdale, Georgia.  Ricky was a man who enjoyed life, he enjoyed telling a good joke, loved playing golf, fishing, gambling, in fact he had a regular card game daily at 5pm and enjoyed visiting the Covington Pool Room when he could.  He was preceded in death by his wife Lynn Hall Loyd, his father Ed Loyd and his sister Linda Loyd Durden.

 Mr. Loyd is survived by his mother Flora Copeland of Conyers, his son Paul Ricky Loyd, Jr of Covington, his step son and daughter-in-law Jay and Mary Mitchell of Florida, his brothers and sisters and their spouses; Barbara and Kenneth Reagan, Joe and Judy Loyd, Faye and Mark Womac all of Covington and Jerry Lee Loyd of Conyers along with two step grandchildren Alex Mitchell and Sandy Mitchell both of Florida and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

 A memorial service will be held at 6 O’clock Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 4pm until 6pm prior to the service.  J.C.
