        Ms. Lula Ruth "Cook" Thomas of Covington, Georgia was the daughter of the late Mr. Lawson and Mrs. Fairest Lee Thomas. She was born on December 10, 1954 in Newborn, Georgia, where she spent her childhood. She passed on July 8, 2014 at Riverside Healthcare.

       "Lula" was lovingly known as "Cook". She graduated from Newton County High School. She was a very caring and giving person. She opened her home to many and as a result, ended up with several "adopted" children, who remained a part of her family circle. She joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church as a child. She was a loving and kind homemaker. She loved being around her family and friends.

       She was preceded in death by four brothers, Mr. Willie Lawson Thomas, Mr. Raleigh C. Thomas, Mr. Raymond Thomas and Mr. Bennett Thomas, sister, Little Fairest Thomas.

       She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted  son, Mr. Marcus Thomas, special friend, Mr. Curtis Bell Williams, sisters, Mr. & Mrs. Richard (Rebecca)  Hubbard, Mrs. Louise Sanford, Mrs. Roxie Patton, Mr. & Mrs. Jessie (Kathryn) Smith, Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Benton, Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Carolyn) Aiken, brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Linton Thomas and Mr. & Mrs. Allen Thomas, three grandchildren, Bre'Yona Thomas, Aedan Thomas, Zakhi Grandison and a  host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Acknowledgements
We, the family, have been blessed by the many expressions of love and sympathy shown during the passing of our dear loved one. We thank you for your calls, visits, cards, food, flowers and other services rendered. Most of all, we thank Rockdale Medical Center and Riverside Healthcare Center for their expressions of love. In the midst of heartache and pain, we have found peace in the Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless and keep you.
