Kurt Hester passed away on Saturday September 3, 2011.  He was born on August 25, 1988 and was a lifelong resident of Covington.  He was a 2006 graduate of Eastside High School where he was active in youth sports and clubs.  He attended Georgia College and State University.  He is the son of the late Billy Hester, Jr., grandson of the late Billy Hester, and grandson on the late Carl E. Calender. 

Kurt is survived by his parents Carla H. and Andy Harvill of Covington, twin brother Kevin Hester of Covington, sister Holly Goolsby of Loganville, niece Makenna Goolsby of Loganville, step brother Nathan Harvill of Covington, step brother Drew Harvill of Knoxville, TN, Grandmother Helen Hester of Covington, Grandmother Janas Calender of Marietta, many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services for Kurt will be held at 2 O’clock Thursday, September 8, 2011at the First Presbyterian Church of Covington with Reverend William B. Wade officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at Harwell Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2011.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Covington, 1169 Clark Street, Covington, GA  30014.  Harwell Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel, 2157 East Street SE, Covington, GA 30014 is in charge of arrangements. www.harwellfuneralhome.com
