Lina Hand, of Conyers, died July 29, 2009 at Emory Crawford Long Hospital at the age of 80. Daughter of the late Elbert E. Huddleston and Jessie Mae Westbrook Huddleston, she was a member of Grace Pointe Nazarene Church in Loganville and was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord. She enjoyed watching birds and butterflies, vegetable and flower gardening, cooking for her family, reading, and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She will be dearly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Survivors include her husband, Harold Andrew Hand of Conyers; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Yvonne Hand of McDonough, Mark Brian Hand of Conyers, Jeff and Mendy Hand of Oxford; grandchildren, Tasha Going, Jessica Hand, Rebecca Garner, Brian Hand, Michael Hand, Justin Hand; eight great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Sybil and James Stanley of Four Oaks, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Katherine Huddleston of Mableton, Adrian and June Huddleston of SC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Hand will be held on Saturday, August 1, 12:00 PM, at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on the day of service from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM.
