Juanita Jones Brookshire, 85, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Riverside Health Care. She was born in Experiment to the late Samuel and Gladys Jones. Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and prayer warrior. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was known for giving out birthday cards to all the church members. Juanita touched many people’s lives and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Floyd “Bud” Brookshire in 1992.

Juanita is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Howard Fowler of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Vicki Brookshire of Covington; grandchildren, Sheena, Eric, Cori, Andrew, April and Justin; nine great-grandchildren and sister Gloria Akin of Albany.

Funeral services for Juanita were held Thursday, September 15, 2016 at noon at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Bone officiating. The family received friends at the church from 10:00 am until noon. Interment followed at 3 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin.
