Jimmie Lee Ervin, Jr., 49 of Covington, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Rockdale Medical Center. He was born in Baltimore to Jimmie Lee Ervin, Sr. and the late Sandra Clegg Ervin. Jimmie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and a friend to everyone he met. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan with a great sense of humor. Jimmie was our Superman and a fighter for his family, friends and most of all God. His life was all about joy. He was the most loving and honest man we knew. Jimmie was a great provider and worked very hard. He enjoyed working in the garden with his family and he left an impression on every soul he met.

Jimmie is survived by his wife Lynn Morgan Ervin; father Jimmie, Sr. (Dale); mother-in-law Virginia Morgan; children, Angel Ervin, Lexi Ervin, Bryan Sandler, Cody Sandler, Danielle Sandler and Michelle Reyna; grandchildren Bryson Underwood and Bentley Smith; brothers Dwayne Ervin and Jeremy (Rachael) Ervin along with nieces Laura and Savannah Ervin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home.
