James C. Corry

Mr. James C. Corry of Covington, 85, passed away April 16.

Mr. Corry was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He was a member and Elder of Bethany Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Corry was a Mason for more than 50 years and a member of the Golden Fleece Lodge No. 6, where he served as past Master in 1970.

He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation after 34 years of dedicated service.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Ann (Blasingame) Corry, second wife Corine (Fleming) Corry, granddaughter Jaymie Lynn Lewis; mother Reba (Boswell) Parker; father James Clinton Corry Sr.; and his brother Charles Williams.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law Jane and Al McCoy of Austell, Lynn and Paul Lewis of Covington; grandchildren Joe and Kelly Lewis; great-grandchildren Brylie Nicole Lewis, Jaxson Bryce Lewis; sisters Ann Boswell, Betty Jo Webb; brother L.A. Bill Corry, all of Greensboro; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Corry will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow, April 20, at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 1002 Bethany Road, with the Rev. Daniel J. Commerford officiating, and interment following in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 19.
