Imogene Boyd Brand of Oxford, died September 13, 2010, at Abbey Hospice at the age of 72. She loved dancing, flowers, playing cards, cookouts, and the television show Bonanza. A retired fork lift operator for Mobil Chemical, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Ms. Brand was preceded in death by her parents, Vershaw and Evelyn Waldrop Boyd; a daughter, Brenda Brand; grandson, Michael Shane Davis; great-granddaughter, Miah Crown; great-grandson, Raymond Nunn III; sisters, Geneva Gable and Shirley Clive; brothers, Otis Boyd and Jerry Boyd. Ms. Brand is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Debra and Mario Liveoak of Conyers, Janice and Ken Burkiett of Milner, Patsy B. Nunn of Oxford; sons and daughter-in-law, James Brand of Atlanta, Ricky and Kim Brand of Flovilla; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Bill Carter of Walnut Grove; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randall and Glenda Boyd of Covington, Charley and Veda Boyd of Grand Prairie, TX, Robert Lee and Vera Boyd of Plano, TX, and Mike and Alma Boyd of Covington; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services for Ms. Brand will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, September 16, 2010, at the Floyd Street Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with interment following at Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, September 15, 2010, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
