Mrs. Eunice Mae Banks Dobbs, 77 of Covington died May 21, 2009 at Riverside Convalescent Center. She was born in Jasper County to the late Holland and Lurlene Henderson Banks. She was a life long resident of Newton County and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. Mrs. Dobbs was an avid gardener and loved to cook and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband L. D. Dobbs in 2003. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law Cathy & Terry Dyer of Covington, Carol & David Jaynes of Conyers, son and daughter in law Kyle and Donna Dobbs of Comer, Ga., sister Amanda Sellers of Social Circle, brothers Douglas Banks and Wilson Banks of Mansfield, six grandchildren, Brian Dyer, Kevin Dyer, Brittney Jaynes, Katie Jaynes, Casey Dobbs & Caroline Dobbs, three great grandchildren, Raleigh Dyer, Kennedie Dyer & Hadley Dyer. Funeral services for Mrs. Dobbs will be held Saturday May 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Harwell-Wheeler Funeral Home with Rev. David Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Carmel Cemetery in Mansfield. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
