Ethel C. Gallops, 92, died June 22 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her son Caleb Gallops and daughter Nellie Howell.

She is survived by sons Homer Gallops and wife Sue of Texas, Jim Gallops and wife Margaret of Hollins, Ala., Steve Gallops and wife Bonnie of Covington; daughters Mary Milam of Alexander City, Ala., Polly Ballew of Covington, Alma Hays and husband Freddie of Covington, Rachel Cobb of Conyers, Priscilla Gallops of Smyrna, Tenn.; 37 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service for Mrs. Gallops were held June 24 at Hollins Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Gravette, the Rev. Tim Harris and James Gallops officiating. Burial followed in Hollins Cemetery in Hollins, Ala.
