Elmer Jackson of Covington, born June 10, 1932, passed away June 12, 2011, at the age of 79. He enjoyed working, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family. Mr. Jackson's wife, Mary, would like to thank everyone for all their love and support through this time of sorrow. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Gus and Minnie Lee (Moss) Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jackson of Covington; daughter, Jackie Everson; granddaughter, Dean'na Barnes; grandson, Adam Forsyth, all of Albany; 6 step-children; 13 step-grandchildren; brother, Tommy Jackson of Jefferson; sisters, Olena Eaton of Madison, Thelma Miller of Monroe; host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Jackson will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2011, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with entombment following in Memory Chapel Mausoleum at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, June 14, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
