Eleanore W. Walton of Covington, formerly of Atlanta, died July 3, 2010, at the age of 91, at her home.  Born to the late Thomas P. and Margaret Humphries Walton, Eleanore loved music, playing the cello and organ.  Animals, domestic and wild, were dear to her and, generally, all nature.  She was a member of World Wildlife and a Legacy Member of the Nature Conservancy.  Traveling was fun to her, and she had much time devoted to travel in the United States and Canada.  Eleanore had been Office Manager of Walgreen’s Southeastern District Office a number of years, and later was a Partner in the family run Insurance Agency of the Rutherford Company in Atlanta. Survivors include beloved friend and business partner of many years, Jacqueline Rutherford of Covington; niece, Vivian McCarthy of Glenwood, MD; nephew, Errol Steele of Beaufort, SC; a number of great-nephews and great-nieces. Funeral Services for Eleanore will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Memory Chapel Mausoleum, Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington, with Pastor James A.
