Mrs. Dorothy Bonnell (Brown) Bishop age 84 of Covington, Georgia died on Wednesday, October 27, 2010.  She was born April 19, 1926 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late John Richard and Clara (Azlee) Brown.  She moved to Covington from Stockbridge in 1996 and was retired from Woolworth Department store where she worked as a cashier for 17 years. Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Gospel Mission in Almon. She enjoyed hard work and helping people.  Mrs. Bishop is preceded in death by her husband of 59 ½ years Gordon James Bishop and a daughter Juanita Faircloth.

Mrs. Bishop is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: Joyce and George Briggs of Douglasville, JoAnn Faircloth of Marietta, Betty and Gary Johnson of Covington; son and daughter-in-law: Charles and Pat Bishop of Rutledge; sister: Shirley Ray Evans of Cleveland, OH; brother: Lawrence Brown of River Rouge, MI; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 29, 2010 from2-4PM and 6-9PM.  Funeral services for Mrs. Bishop will be at 1:00PM on Saturday in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Whitley and Rev.Gilbert Gann officiating. Interment will be at 3:30PM atSunrise Memorial Garden in Douglasville.  Guest may sign the online register book at www.wheelerfuneralhome.com.
