Mrs. Amanda Leigh Freeman Atkins, age 31, of Oxford, Georgia passed away Friday, October 23, 2015.  She was born in Covington on December 27, 1983.  Amanda grew up in Covington and has worked for Waffle House in Walnut Grove.  She loved animals, shopping, traveling to the beach and especially loved her daughter and spending time with her.  Amanda was preceded in death by her father Steve Freeman and is survived by her daughter, Courtney Taylor McGunigal; her mother, Cindy Freeman; her brother, Jeremy Freeman; nephew, Jeremy Swayde Freeman; aunts and uncle, Terry and Roxanne Massey and Pat Dial along with numerous other family members and close friends.

Funeral services for Amanda will be held at 11 o’clock Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 6pm until 8pm.  J.C.
