ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Department of Transportation officials say they're limiting construction-related lane closures for the next two weekends.
Officials say construction-related lane closures will be suspended between midnight Friday and 5 a.m. Monday for the Easter traveling period. The closures will be suspended again between 10 p.m. April 10 and 5 a.m. April 13 to accommodate for extra traffic during the Atlanta Braves' opening weekend.
GDOT Construction Director Jeff Baker says drivers should use caution because crews may still be working near some Georgia highways, and lanes could be closed because of accidents or emergency maintenance needs.
