ATLANTA - Advocates for Georgia's pre-kindergarten program plan a rally at the state Capitol.
The rally is scheduled for Tuesday at noon. Advocates will call upon Gov. Nathan Deal and legislators to commit to supporting the program for the 150,000 4-year-olds in the state who are eligible to participate.
Bobby Cagle, the newly appointed commissioner of the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, will be among the speakers.
The pre-k supporters also will demonstrate the quality of learning in the program.
