Two men were shot, one fatally, on Nixon Circle.

Officers from the Covington Police Department responded to multiple calls of shots being fired in the area of Nixon Circle. When they arrived, officers found one male dead and a second male with a gunshot wound to the arm.

According to a press release from CPD Captain Ken Malcom, officers were immediately able to make contact with the person identified as the shooter. Investigators are currently processing the scene and conducting interviews with witnesses, as well as the person identified as the shooter.

The name of the victim is being withheld currently, pending notification of his next of kin.
