Missing Covington teen found safe

Jordan Marie Aaron, the 13-year-old Covington girl who has been missing for over a month, was found safe Wednesday.

The teen was found in Marietta, at the home of 21-year-old Joshua Harry Measroch, who has been charged with interference with child custody and obstruction of an officer. According to a press release, Measroch picked Aaron up from her home on the night she went missing.

The teen and Measroch met on an online dating site, according to Newton County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Cortney Morrison. He came to Covington and picked her up, and she has been with him the entire time she’s been missing.

Along with charges in Newton County, Measroch could also face charges in Cobb County for any crime that was committed there. Jordan Aaron will also face juvenile charges in Newton County for unruly juvenile.
