COVINGTON, Ga. — The Newton County Board of Education will meet Tuesday night, Nov. 12, to discuss a few — but important — topics.
The BOE will meet at 6 p.m. to motion for an executive session to discuss an appointment, employment, compensation of employees and potential litigation. The BOE will return to an open session at 7 p.m.
Tuesday's agenda includes a special recognition followed by the superintendent's report, which includes the financial report, strategic plan report and enrollment report.
In the agenda, the board is requested to take action on the following requests: the purchase of security camera system upgrades, a contract for fleet inspection services, surplus property, the fiscal year 2020 legislative priorities and the superintendent's recommendations from the previous executive session.
