MONTICELLO, Ga. — Piedmont Academy fifth graders were engrossed in studying physical and chemical changes of matter.  

The students participated in a group experiment on growing salt crystals. They were able to predict, observe and document the daily growth changes of these crystals over a two-week period.  

The crystals were amazing to watch, and the colors were outstanding!
