The Newton County Board of Education generally meets twice each month, once in a work session and once in a regularly scheduled meeting.

Exceptions occur during the months of July and December, when the Board meets only once.

The Executive Session of each Board Meeting begins at 6 p.m., with the regular session beginning at 7 p.m.
