Important dates for NCSS students

Although the 2011-12 school year is drawing to a close, there are still several important dates coming up for students and teachers.

From March 19-30 third grade students will be taking the third grade writing assessment and on the 19th high school students will take the Georgia High School Graduation Test (GHSGT) in science, on March 20 they will have make up for science and the math test, the 21st will be make up for math and the social studies test, the 22nd will be English/language arts and make up social studies and finally, the 23rd will be make up for English/language arts as needed.

Spring Break is the next holiday and is April 2-6. When students come back, third through eighth graders need to be ready to buckle down because CRCTs will begin for reading, ELA and math on April 9-13; and April 10-20 is the CRCT for reading, ELA, math, science and social studies. April 14 students will be able to take the ACT should they choose and April 30-May 18 kindergarten through eighth grade students will have universal screening in reading and math.

May 4-17 high school students will take all EOCTs and designated CTAE courses as well as CTAE pathway completers. The SAT is May 5 and May 7-18 are AP exams. The last day of school for students is May 23.
