Grace Baptist Church in Covington recently made a generous donation of much needed school supplies  to students at Porterdale Elementary School. On behalf of his congregation, Pastor Philip Bone personally delivered the supplies to school principal, Ms. Lizzella Dodson. In addition to five book bags filled with the standard school items requested by the first, second, third, fourth and fifth grades, the church collected and donated to the school two cases of notebook paper, one case of pencils, one case of Crayola crayons, one case of rulers, one case of glue sticks, 10 protractors, 12 packs of pens and 12 packs of highlighters.

“We are truly grateful for the book bags and school supplies that Pastor Phillip Bones of Grace Baptist Church and his congregation donated to our school,” said Ms. Dodson. “We have students who are indeed in need of these supplies who cannot afford to purchase them. Teachers have given us the names of students who can benefit from this wonderful donation.”

Dodson added that, “It takes an entire village to raise a child, and the Porterdale Elementary administrators and staff says, ‘THANK YOU’ to Pastor Bones and Grace Baptist Church for being so generous and thoughtful and for being a part of our Porterdale Elementary School village and family.
