George Walton students earn arts accolades

Literary art winners: George Walton Academy students earned multiple honors at the Georgia Perimeter College High School Literary Arts competition on April 15, and the school was named Outstanding High School.

 

Students Michael Buice, Sam Stevens, Bess Dobbs, Ben Phillips and Nichelle Sheffield won awards to secure the designation for George Walton, which won seven of the nine categories.

Other winners: In Essay, Bess Dobbs, first; Sam Stevens, second; and Michael Buice, third.
In Poetry, Bess Dobbs, first; Ben Phillips, second; and Nichelle Sheffield, third.
In Fiction, Bess Dobbs placed second.
