Named to the Dean's List for fall semester from Covington are Pearl Gay, Gabriela Mobley, Kristen Osburn, Jordan Battaglia, Tori Cantrell, William Eaton, Rebecca Flake, Kathryn Hurd, McKenzie McQuaig, Ansley Sears, George Snipes and Daniel Twiford. Named from Mansfield are Stephanie Bales and Jackson Smith. Named from Oxford are Travis Byrd, Lindsay Ellington and Julia Richardson. Named from Social Circle is Samuel Hunt.

Berry College, Rome, announces its Dean's list for fall semester.
Local students named to the list are Lee Parker of Oxford, a senior majoring in accounting and government, and Jonathan Miley of Covington, a junior majoring in communication.

The following students were named to the Merit List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Ga., for the 2009 fall semester. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester to be named to the Merit List.

The following students were named to the Dean's List of Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta for the 2009 fall semester.
