Andy Irwin, popular local storyteller and performer, will appear at Oxford College today, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. in Tarbutton Performing Arts Center on the Oxford campus.
Irwin was Oxford's artist-in-residence in theater from 1991 to 2007. His music, humor and storytelling have made his concerts widely popular, and his fan base includes enthusiasts from his native Newton County as well as regional, national and international fans. Irwin's recognition includes his two of his albums' being awarded the Just Plain Folks Award. Recently he was honored by The Covington News as one of 10 men who have significantly contributed to the community.
