Next week, the Eastside High School Drama Department will present "Footloose." The show will open at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, followed by another performance on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and will conclude Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

"Footloose" is a musical about the young and spunky Ren McCormack, a Chicago native who has been forced by his mother to relocate to the small town of Bomont. When he arrives in Bomont and enrolls in school, he quickly learns from his classmates that dancing of any kind is outlawed within city limits. "Footloose" will take you and your family on a journey with Ren as he juggles everyday teenage struggles like his infatuation with the preacher's daughter, dealing with bad-to-the-bone bullies, and most importantly, bringing dancing back to Bomont.

Ticket information is available by calling the school at (770) 784-2920.
