COVINGTON, Ga. – A Jackson man reported that his car was hit by a brick on Highway 36 as he drove toward Highway 162 Wednesday morning.

According to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) report, the victim told the deputy he was on his way to work July 19 at 5 a.m. when someone threw the brick at his vehicle, striking the windshield.

According to a NCSO spokesperson, the driver was not injured.

No one was seen in the area at the time of the incident and there have been no similar incidents reported in the county.
