DALTON, Ga. - More than 100 people attended the burial Wednesday of three young children killed in a suburban Atlanta house fire.

The mourners wept as the three tiny white coffins - adorned by floral sprays of white roses and white carnations - were lowered into the Georgia red clay.

Authorities say the children - 4-year-old Isaac Xavier Guevara Brito, 3-year-old Jose Ivan Guevara Brito and 18-month-old Stacy Brito Pina - were killed last week when fire swept through a methamphetamine lab in the house.

The children's mother, Neibi Brito, was allowed to attend Wednesday's funeral under guard of Gwinnett County sheriff's deputies, the Daily Citizen of Dalton reported. Authorities are still searching for Ivan Gonzalez, a 26-year-old who has been charged with murder in the children's deaths.

Investigators in the Dalton area checked into a tip that Friday that he might be in the area but were unable to find him.

Funeral home director Jimmy Willis said grandparents in Calhoun took responsibility for burying the children, and the family also has ties to Dalton.

The Rev. Jose Guevara of Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal church told mourners that the children are in heaven, an interpreter said.
