The students of Alcovy High School have been dismissed after a county water main break Friday.

The school is without water, and service is not expected to return for several hours, according to Newton County School System officials.

Students will be dismissed between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m.

Students who ride the bus will be transported to their normal bus stops. Students who ride a car to school will be allowed to either ride the bus home or stay in the auditorium until they are picked up.

All after school activities scheduled at Alcovy High School are cancelled. Away games and other athletic events scheduled off campus will take place as scheduled.
