Just a Thought: The Anti-Christ is coming, the Anti-Christ is coming!!
Yes, he is. As time marches forward, it is inevitable that God’s Word will be true and prophecy will be fulfilled, which means the Anti-Christ is coming.
So. what does this mean for us as believers? And what should we do? First, be informed as to what to look for. "Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction." (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
This speaks of a time when the world will turn away from the things of Christ, and even those who have professed to be Christians will depart from the things of God. The term "Anti-Christ" actually means "instead" of Christ. Man will begin to replace Christ with other affections.
Secondly, as the time draws near to his arrival, it is less important that we know who he is, and more important that we identify the signs of the season (Matthew 24:36-38). Here are some things to watch for: Watch the news regarding the Middle East. As his time draws near, Israel will become more and more the center stage of the world’s attention. Keep in mind that, as you watch political, social and economic things unfold, they are a part of God’s controlled prophetic plan.
Most importantly, anticipate the Lord’s coming instead of that of the Anti-Christ, for, as the signs of the season become clear, so does the end of our time to work for Christ.
Be ready, be focused, be steadily working: "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
