The Miracle League of Newton County is seeking volunteers for the 2026 spring season.
The league is seeking “buddies” to assist the athletes throughout the season. Duties include:
- Help push a child in a wheelchair around the bases
- Help the child hold the bat and hit
- Let the child hit the ball, but make sure they get to each base
- Help the child using a walker or crutches
- When in the outfield, if someone yells “big hitter,” stand in front of the child to protect them so that they do not get hit
