Jessica Brooke Hinton and Jason Scott Vincent were married in a twilight ceremony September 26, 2015, on the patio at The Lake House in historic Avondale Estates. The Reverend Dr. William B. Wade officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Harry and Tricia Hinton of Walnut Grove. She is the granddaughter of the late Newt and Edna Hinton of Covington and the late Henry and Mary Lott of Decatur. The bride is employed as a Nurse Practitioner by Emory at Grady Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of Ralph Vincent of Milledgeville, and Ann and Don Looney of Elberton. He is the grandson of the late Talmadge and Doris Higginbotham of Elberton, and the late Ed and Marie Vincent of Haddock, GA. The groom is a Manager at Mary Mac’s Tea Room in Atlanta.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory crinkle chiffon in a modified A-line style. The gown featured a draped bodice with corded lace placed throughout , a sweetheart neckline with spaghetti straps and low back, a chiffon chapel train, and was accented with a belt of crystals, pearls and satin. Her hair was fashioned with an elegant braid featuring a crystal and pearl band. The bride wore her paternal grandmother’s diamond wedding band and carried a bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas with red gerbera daisies.
The bridal processional was performed by friend of the couple, Scott Malone of Dallas, Texas, guitarist. Other processional and recessional music, as well as dinner and dance music was provided through the services of Marty Malone. The wedding was directed by friends of the couple, Melissa Malone and Mollie Gulley.
Honor attendants were sisters of the bride, Stephanie Langston and Natalie Phillips.
Bridesmaids were sisters of the groom, Michelle Vincent and Natalie Dixon; friends of the bride, Jaime Favreau, Lauren Fyock, Erica O’Neil, Jessica Menke, Lorraine Deng and Katie Greene. The bridal attendants wore short length black dresses fashioned with lace or chiffon, in styles of their choosing. They carried all-white bouquets of roses, hydrangeas and gerbera daisies.
The bride’s flower girls were her niece, Maya Langston, and the groom’s niece, Bree Dixon. They wore ivory lace dresses and sparkly silver shoes. Their hair was adorned with jeweled chiffon flowers lifted from the bridal gown.
The groom’s best man was lifelong friend, Joey Echols. Groomsmen were brother of the groom, Matt Vincent; brothers-in-law, Stan Dixon, Chris Langston and Brad Phillips; friends, Russ Vickery, Joe Seim, Adam Crawford and Brian Crowl.
The groom wore a black suit with white shirt and red tie. The groomsmen and father of the bride wore black suits with white shirts and black ties.
Nephew of the bride, Emery Langston, was the ring bearer, dressed in a black suit, white shirt and tie.
Following the ceremony, a reception with dinner and dancing were held in the vintage 1920s Tudor-style clubhouse. Continuing the color theme of the ceremony, the venue was decorated in black and ivory with red accents. The tables and chairs were covered in black linens, and tables were decorated with white bouquets of roses, hydrangeas and gerbera daisies, votive candles and ivory tulle.
A three-tiered wedding cake of white with black icing detail and red gerbera daisies, and a groom’s cake with a UGA motif were served.
Following a honeymoon trip to Vieques Island, Puerto Rico, the newlyweds reside in Atlanta.
