Willie Ralph Glover

Mr. Willie Ralph Glover died July 24. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman (Stella Manuel) Glover Sr., he was born in 1942 in Newton County. Mr. Glover, called Ralph, was the fifth of seven children. He was raised and educated in Newton County. Always a hard worker, he was employed by the Rutledge Construction Company in Decatur for 32 years. An excellent mechanic, Ralph loved working on cars and repairing lawn mowers. Mr. Glover was the proud father of two daughters and proud grandfather of three, all of whom he adored. Mr. Benton was a friendly, out-going person; his generosity and kindness toward others won him many friends. He will be remembered for his radiant smile. Mr. Glover was preceded in death by brother Alfonso Glover.

Surviving are daughters Mr. and Mrs. Steve (Pamela) Cosby, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Debbie) Smith; grandchildren DeShala, MiShala, Desmond; sisters Mr. and Mrs. Bo (Charlene) Wilborn, Mrs. Margaret Smith, Mrs. Martha Reese, Mrs. Sarah Belcher; brother Mr. and Mrs. Norman (Mardean) Glover; sister-in-law Mrs. Annette Glover; special niece Mrs. Alice Smith; a host of other loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held July 28 at Young Memorial Chapel with Minister Debbie Smith officiating. Interment followed at Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery.
