Mrs. Tommie Lou Lewis, 81, of Conyers and formerly Atlanta, died March 28. The daughter of the late Merce Marrow and Martha Lucille Nalley Smith, she was born August 23, 1926 in Carroll County. Mrs. Lewis worked for Arrow Shirt Company for many years, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Atlanta and was a devoted Braves fan.

She was preceded in death by her son Bill Lewis and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Gail and Chuck Bennett of Conyers; son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Pat Lewis of Covington; two sisters, Jean Williams of Villa Rica and Betty Jo Wolfe of Simpsonville, S.C.; two brothers, James Smith of Riverdale and Jack Smith of Lawrenceville. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 31 from the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, March 30 at the funeral home.
