Lois W. Bailey, 92, of Covington, died Jan. 22. the daughter of the late James T. and Clara Hardegree White, she was born in Walton County. She retired from Covington Mill with over 40 years of service and then from Newton Medical Center after 30 years where she worked as supervisor of housekeeping. Mrs. Bailey was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, serving on many church committees in several different capacities. She was preceded in death by husband Judson P. Bailey and brothers Bill White, Clifford White, Clarence White, Crawford White, Earnest White and Bud White.

Surviving are special nephew and niece Jerry and Darlene White of Covington; special nieces Patsy Hesterly of Conyers, Linda Bohannon of Fayetteville, Pam Weldon of Jonesboro, Peggy Thompson of Eatonton; step-son and daughter-in-law Craig and Sue Bailey of Ashville, N.C.; step-grandchildren Libby and Joy; step-great-grandchild Hannah; sisters Gaynelle Doggett of Covington, Ellen Bentley of Fayetteville, Betty Cox and Sue Mitchell, both of Conyers, several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, in the Access Road chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with the Rev. Alan Thompson and the Rev. Dickie Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
