John Paul Todd

Mr. John Paul Todd, 80, of Covington, died May 26. The son of the late John Paul and Pearl Pittard Todd Sr., he was born in Eastland County, Texas, in 1928. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during World War II on a submarine. Mr. Todd was a retired electrician and a member of Lovejoy Methodist Church, Golden Fleece No. 6 Masonic Lodge where he was a Past Master, Eastside Scottish Rite, Arab Shrine Temple, Alcovy Shrine Club, American Legion Post 77 in Conyers and Elks Lodge No. 1806 in Covington.

Surviving are wife Margaret Todd of Covington; step-daughter Tammy Smith of Conyers; step-son Maj. Tim Reburn of Reinstein, Germany; grandchildren Quinton Upshaw, Ashley Upshaw, Hannah Reburn, Hunter Reburn.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29, in the chapel of lWheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in Lovejoy Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today, May 28, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Masonic Children's Home or Lovejoy Methodist Church.
