Professional wrestling comes to National Guard Armory

Professional wrestling returns to the National Guard Armory in Covington on Feb. 2, bringing with it a last chance to see one of the South’s top wrestlers.

Steve "The Brawler" Lawler has held regional titles all over the Southeast, wrestling for a better part of three decades and faced such wrestlers as Mr. Wrestling No. 2, Abdullah the Butcher, Tommy Rich and others. He plans on retiring in mid-February, making this his final appearance.

Others set to compete in the New South Championship Wrestling event are Jailhouse Rocker, Bam Bam, The Movement, Jamie Holmes, Rugged Richie Dye, The Bonecrushers, Lobo and others.

Tickets for the event range from $5 for kids 6-12 to $10 for adults. Children under the age of 5 are free with adult admission. For information or advance tickets, please call (770) 895-8372.
