COVINGTON, Ga. — The eight Eastside baseball players who made the All-Region 4-AAAA team was the most from any area school to grace an all-region roster.

Headlining the all-region team was Eastside senior Ryan Shirley who’s solid play garnered him Region Player of the Year honors.

Shirley batted .437 with 31 hits and had a .579 on-base percentage while also going 6-0 from the mound with 54 strikeouts and a 1.94 ERA. He was a multifaceted threat for an Eastside squad that finished 26-6 and narrowly lost two games at West Laurens in the Class AAAA Sweet 16 to end the season.

Additionally, Eastside pitchers Brayden Harper, Riley Ralston and Erik Shirley were tabbed, along with infielders Cole Green and Noah Cook and outfielders Aron Cox and Colby Shivers.
