Taste of Eastside
Eastside High School will host its annual Taste of Eastside on Saturday, Nov. 9, beginning at 4 p.m.

The event will feature live performances from David Clemons, Shane Willwood and Drew Parker, as well as food and fun, including a cornhole tournament.

Tickets to the event are $10, with a $25 fee to enter the cornhole tournament.

Tickets can be purchased in advance.

Proceeds from the event go to support the Eagles' Athletic Department and the Eastside Drama Department.

YMCA registration
The Covington YMCA is currently holding basketball and cheerleading registration.

Registration ends Nov. 11.

Registration is $75 for YMCA facility members and $85 for program members.

Uniform fees will be $30 for the season.

Financial assistances is available based on need.

Those wishing to register can sign up in person at the Covington YMCA, or online at www.ymcaregistration.com.

Basketball and cheerleading practices will begin Dec. 2, with games beginning Dec. 13.
