The Newton County Recreation Commission (NCRC) will host a Training League summer baseball tournament Saturday through Thursday, June 11-16.
The tournament will take place at City Pond Park in Oxford, with the first games beginning at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
NCRC’s athletic manager Horace Stroud and recreation coordinator Arsenio Nolley will be coordinating the tournament.
There will be no games on Sunday, with action resuming Monday-Thursday at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The Training League caters to boys ages 5-6-years-old and runs from March to June. Registration for fall baseball and softball begins July 5 and ends August 12. For more information, visit newtonrecreation.com.
