The Indian Creek Open is back. After a one-year hiatus, the tournament returns to Ashton Hills for the 10th time. Traditionally, the Nema-sponsored Indian Creek Open has been the largest and most successful golf tournament to be held each year in Newton County. The tournament is scheduled to be held on June 8-9.
Over the years players from all over the state have participated in the event. We decided to move forward with the original name to allow name recognition from the many participants who have played over the years. The tournament is open to all golfers with a valid USGA handicap. The event is not only held for a great tournament, it also benefits the American Cancer society.
The Ashton Hills Men’s Golf Association would like to invite you to our tenth annual Indian Creek Open Golf Tournament sponsored by Nema, Inc. The field will be limited to the first 84 teams and the facilities will be closed Saturday and Sunday for the participants. This looks to be a fun-filled weekend, so get your entry in early.
Format: Two Man Best Ball. Each team will play 18 holes each day. The field will be split into a morning start and an afternoon start.
Handicaps: Partners for this event must have a handicap within six strokes of each other. In the event of a greater spread the higher handicap of the two will be adjusted. All players will receive a percentage of their course handicap.
Flights: Teams will be flighted based on their combined handicaps. There will be a total of seven flights.
Special Events: There will be prizes awarded for closest to the hole on par threes as well as hole-in-one prizes.
Cancellations/Withdrawals: All cancellations must be made by June 1. Any team that cancels after June 1, will forfeit their team entry fee.
