How you should celebrate National Running Day

Invite your friends, family and colleagues to celebrate National Running Day tomorrow, June 3. Come and join us to run/walk anything from a mile along the Eastside Trail starting at the Covington Library.

We would like to make the event a way in which to run together as a community and to support Newton Trails a project which wants to improve the community. Whilst this trail has been built by Newton County through funding from the County, City of Covington and external and private grants, Newton Trails has supported the project plus they have raised money to supply the benches and trash and recycling bins along the trail.

They raised the funds to build the Oxford Trail and continue working tirelessly to develop more trails throughout the county. Let's support them in making this a bigger, better and stronger community by supporting their vision to bring more for YOU! Check out their link at www.newtontrails.org for further information and to see their upcoming projects. Their progress is based upon your backing and moral support. YOU investing in YOU! We highly appreciate your contributions!

Don't forget your water bottle, sunscreen and mosquito repellent! Look forward to seeing you there!

This event is run by Tracey Ashall. Ashall is an RRCA certified run coach who has worked with both the YMCA and Kellye Personal Fitness leading run groups from 5k up to half marathon since 2013.

Ashall recently just became a member of the Women's Masters Elite Team at the Atlanta Track Club. Along with their new sponsorship Mizuno, the vision remains and has grown stronger that whilst we are competing in races across the country and even overseas we are also ambassadors for the sport and for the Atlanta Track Club, with the biggest mission committed to creating an active and healthy Atlanta including Metro Atlanta through world-class events, training programs and community outreach activities.
